Bubbly + Norwich

In 2002, Bubbly Dynamics acquired the former Lowe Brothers paint warehouse, a vacant and dilapidated structure on a largely abandoned block in the Central Manufacturing District. The building’s redevelopment included strategic salvage and reuse of waste-stream materials, bartering with local suppliers, and volunteer efforts. The principles explored and implemented during this renovation guided the redevelopment approach for Bubbly Dynamics’ second building, The Plant. Then in 2025, Bubbly Dynamics completed renovations to the former Norwich Pharmacal Co. building, right next door to Bubbly. Both Bubbly and Norwich are contributing structures to the Original East Historic District of the Central Manufacturing District. Today, they house a collaborative community of fabricators and artists.
