Florence Lowden Miller Historic Pullman Center

Originally designed by Solon S. Beman in the early 1880s as a boarding house for single men working at the Pullman shops, the Florence Lowden Miller Welcome Center has lived many lives. After its time as worker housing, it was purchased by the Freemasons, who transformed it into a temple. In the 1970s, the Historic Pullman Foundation (now called Friends of Pullman National Historical Park) acquired the building and used it as a welcome center, a senior center, and an early childhood learning center. Today, it serves as the headquarters of Friends of Pullman National Historical Park. The building houses Friends' main offices, a community meeting space, and is home to the archives for the people of Pullman.
