Starshaped Press

Starshaped Press is a letterpress and design studio located in the Streamline Moderne-style Bulldog Lock Co. Building. Once a bustling area for the city's vast printing industry, Starshaped continues this tradition by focusing on printed works created with 19th and 20th century antique metal and wood type using 80- to 100-year-old printing presses. For more than two decades the studio has preserved the technology of the past through production, creating countless personal and client-based projects that include posters, stationery, business collateral and music packaging.
